Tagua is the seed of the tagua palm, often called 'vegetable ivory'. Our artisan partners in Colombia use only seeds that have fallen naturally, then hand-cut and hand-carve them into slices, fragments and cascading statement pieces.
Strong and lightweight, tagua is a sustainable, botanical alternative to ivory. The line runs from slice earrings to statement necklaces, and some designs pair tagua with eco-resin and gold- or silver-plated accents.
Every Belart piece is made by hand in small family workshops and artisan collectives, and Belart is a verified member of the Fair Trade Federation.
